About Frank Daly

Hi, I'm Frank Daly and welcome to FrankDaly.com (also fdaly.com and fxdaly.com). This website showcases my art, music, books, podcasts, photography, and video. I’ve recently launched an art store selling limited edition fine art canvas and foam-backed prints of selected works from my Berlin Abstracts 2024 collection.

My goal is to do something creative every day.
I’m a self-employed artist, writer, and music producer (fxdaly), and I split my time each year between Dublin, Lisbon and Berlin.  I've written six books, recorded and produced about 100+ music tracks, and six albums of electronic Chillout / Downtempo music, run a podcast channel, created video documentaries, created hundreds of paintings and urban sketches.

Enjoy the website.

a Review of my creative activities:

I work under both Frank Daly and FXDaly for my creative endeavors, which span across art, music, and writing.

Art:

My artwork predominantly explores abstract and urban themes, heavily influenced by the vibrant energy of Berlin’s cityscape. My collection, “Berlin Abstract Art 2024”, is an in-depth exploration of mixed media and digital sketches. I also create urban sketches, capturing the character of cities like Berlin, Dublin, London, and Lisbon, through a fusion of portraits and urban landscapes. My earlier work was rooted in traditional techniques, but my more recent projects push the boundaries with a more experimental approach. Many of my pieces are available for viewing and purchase as limited-edition prints on my website, FDaly.com.

Music:

Under the alias FXDaly, I compose and produce music that is available on Bandcamp, Spotify, and YouTube Music. My albums, including “Time Inside My Mind”, “Urban Life”, and “Rhythm and Chill”, feature Ambient, Downtempo, and Chill Out genres. My goal is for the music to resonate thematically with my visual art, exploring similar urban and abstract elements, creating a cohesive artistic narrative across mediums.

Books:

As a writer, I’ve ventured into both dystopian fiction and crime/spy thrillers. My most notable work is the Ethan Harris Crime/Spy Series, where complex espionage plots intertwine with deep personal struggles. The series begins with “The House Always Wins”, a thriller that follows Ethan Harris as his life unravels after his wife’s murder. Set against international backdrops of London and Berlin, the books bring a global dimension to the narrative.

Additionally, I have written short stories, including “Stanley’s Last Trip and Other Stories”, a collection set in dystopian versions of various cities. These stories delve into themes of revenge, survival, and obsession, often blurring the lines between reality and dystopia. My writing tries to emphasize moral ambiguity and psychological depth, to create a compelling experience for readers.

Summary:

Across my artistic disciplines, I aim to blend urban and abstract influences, engaging audiences through visual, auditory, and narrative forms. To explore my work further, you can visit my website, and music and book platforms.
